Sam Velez

Sam Velez, the Lead Videographer at Studio Nine 13, is a powerhouse of creativity, drive, and self-taught expertise. His journey into videography began during the COVID-19 pandemic when he turned to what he calls "YouTube University" — teaching himself everything from video editing to cinematography. What started as shooting music videos and small gigs quickly turned into a full-blown passion, and when he met Studio Nine 13 founders Quinton and Kristin Macari, they immediately recognized his hunger to learn and grow. Three years later, he’s an essential part of the team.

Since joining Studio Nine 13, Sam has worked on major projects for brands like NurseCon at Sea, where he captured high-energy event footage and created dynamic social media content. He’s played a key role in video editing for Chick-fil-A’s long-form content, documented behind-the-scenes moments for DSV, and managed live-stream camera operations for SLS events. With a knack for fast turnarounds, Sam specializes in shooting, editing, and delivering polished content — often within 24 hours.
